Patient Folder Synchronization
To process an incoming PrescribeIT® transaction, the Patient Folder must be synchronized between Propel Rx and PrescribeIT®, allowing PrescribeIT® transactions to be linked to the correct patient.
Patient synchronization allows your pharmacy to link PrescribeIT® transactions and Clinical Communication to the correct Patient Folder using the following ID:
-
EMR ID - a unique ID associated to a particular patient at a specific clinic.
A patient that was previously synchronized can be classified as unsynchronized if an incoming PrescribeIT® transaction or Clinical Communication is sent from a different location.
As an EMR ID for a patient is linked to the prescribing location, if a PrescribeIT® transaction has not been received from that location for the patient before, it displays as the patient is unsynchronized.
Identifying Unsynchronized Patients
Unsynchronized prescribers and patients can be identified two ways:
-
Names displayed in bold in the Data Entry queue.
-
A red box around their folder in the Intake window or Mail window.
